How NOGNS thinks about performance headwear
Designed in Carlsbad, California. Built to a standard the range is still qualifying against — publicly, on purpose.

NOGNS started with a simple frustration: caps that looked like performance and behaved like lifestyle. Nice photos. Great logos. Sweatbands that gave up in a month.
The Carlsbad standard is the internal build target the range is being qualified against. It's five checks, and every colorway has to pass all five before it ships.
Crown recovery
The structured silhouette has to return to shape after a defined wash and dry cycle. If the crown collapses, the cap fails.
Sweatband rebound
The interior band has to hold its resilience across repeated cycles. A flat, packed-down band is a failed band.
Embroidery integrity
Every stitch stays anchored. No thread migration, no puckering, no color shift under wash conditions.
Dye stability
Every colorway has to hold its color across the same qualification sequence. Bright colorways get held to the same standard as neutrals.
Closure hold
Adjustable closures have to stay set through dynamic use — no self-loosening, no failure at the closure teeth.
This is the work being done in preproduction. Nothing on the site claims a test result that hasn't been observed. The standard is public because the process is what we want you to trust.
