How is the NOGNS cap ventilated?

Do the perforations let light through?
A little. The laser-cut perforations are small openings for airflow in the rear panels, so some light passes through them. NOGNS makes no sun-protection or UPF claim. If heat is the concern, lighter colorways such as White and Sand stay cooler than dark ones.
Is the sweatband washable?
Hand-rinse cool with mild detergent, reshape, and air dry. Machine washability is not a verified claim for NOGNS caps.
How is the sweatband anchored?
